Wren Nav

Where the step-free route actually is.

A free accessibility map of the United Kingdom, built so that a disabled person can find out whether a journey is possible before leaving the house, rather than discovering it on the pavement.

What it shows

Dropped kerbs, pedestrian crossings, Blue Badge parking bays and accessible toilets — recorded from the organisations that are responsible for them, rather than estimated or crowdsourced.

A residential area at walking scale. A marker sits at every dropped kerb along both sides of each street, dozens of them across a few hundred metres.
Every dropped kerb on these streets, in the position the highway authority holds for it.
A city centre at walking scale. Markers mark pedestrian crossings along each street, with two accessible toilets nearby.
A city centre, with its crossings and accessible toilets. Nothing here is estimated or crowdsourced.

What it costs

Nothing. There is no advertising, no subscription and no paywall, and no data is sold. It is a public reference, not a business with a social angle.

Where it is now

In build — not yet open to the public

The map is working and populated. A small number of pieces have to be finished before it opens to the public.
